Until I looked at the blog the other day, I realized it had been since October that I posted! All is well here, Easton's doing well and the Branco in training is getting ready for life. I'm 16 weeks along, so there's plenty more time to go. He/She better be to keep up with the big brother! Anyway, I have a video of Easton opening a a letter from Abby, his Papa and Tutu's dog. He got reacquainted with her when they all came here for Christmas and it was definitely a love/hate relationship with her. For some reason though, he learned how to say her name really quickly and smiles when we say her name or when he sees a picture of a golden retriever. Tutu even got him an outfit with an Abby dog on it and he refused to take it off for a long time! Anyway, last week Abby sent him a picture with his picture on the front and I recorded his reaction. So cute! Also, he kind of counts and says "GO!" when he's getting ready to attack or charge and I got that on video. Scott taught him that. As for talking, he says like 25 discernible words, with new ones every day. I think that's pretty average for a boy. He's more of a moving man anyway...more interested in doing stuff than saying stuff. He didn't get that from me, that's for sure!
We just started going to a new program at the Columbus Public Library called 1,2,3- Play with Me! and it's a lot of fun! They accepted 30 kids to play with all the toys and each week, new experts (doctorate level) come in and talk about different things, like promoting early literacy. During the end, there's a song and story time. During the song, he got in the middle of the circle and started dancing. It was soooo funny!
I have a few random videos of things that Easton's been up to. The first one, I let him eat some of his food with a spoon, having complete faith in Nala cleaning the floor when all goes wrong. The next one, we're at the Columbus Day Pet Parade. It had been months and months since we'd taken Nala anywhere in a car, so we had a good family outing. Last, we went Cosmic Bowling on base Columbus Day weekend with the Yesters. That day was Blake Yester's 6th birthday and we pushed Easton's nap to about 3 and we had to wake him up to go bowling at about 6. Therefore, he needed his paci to keep the attitude on the lower end of the spectrum. Once the lights went out at the bowling alley, however, he let loose and went a little crazy!
I took this video about 15 minutes ago and I have many other videos to post that are much older, but this one had to come up immediately! Easton's obviously asleep right now as I post this blog. I tried to put him down around 11, but he wasn't very interested so I thought his fussiness was due to being hungry so I made him a quick bowl of his favorite food. He also loves peas so I made some of them too. As he ate, I worked on some things that are hard to work on when he's running around the house. I came to check on him...he let me know (and himself know) how tired he actually is!
It's been a long time since I've been able to blog, the computer was in the fritz . It's better now and I have lots of blogging to do! Lots have been going on so over the next few days I'll put new stuff on the blog and new pictures on facebook. Now on to these videos: A few weeks ago we had a really crazy thunderstorm so Easton and I went to go see it on the front porch. He played going back and forth under the water for a little bit...but in the second video he went right for it!
Easton has this new thing where he does what I call "Fast Feet" and he looks like he's doing maniacs. It looks like that move from Flash Dance. It's so funny! It happens at the end of the video and it's not as fast as normal, but it's still pretty cute. Also, I could swear that I saw him run today. I wasn't really noticing but once it processed in my mind, I'm pretty sure that's what he did.
Easton is into airplanes so it's a good thing that they fly 500 feet over our house all day! One night before his bath (he needed one really bad) and bed, we went out to look for planes. Who needs to pay for enterainment when you have this? FYI: He fell on his forehead last week so the scratches on his forehead are from that.
Today, we went to the Dewayne Hayes Park spray park with some friends and enjoyed the day. Easton didn't want to go under the water, but he sure did have fun being around it!
