Dance Circle!

We just started going to a new program at the Columbus Public Library called 1,2,3- Play with Me! and it's a lot of fun! They accepted 30 kids to play with all the toys and each week, new experts (doctorate level) come in and talk about different things, like promoting early literacy. During the end, there's a song and story time. During the song, he got in the middle of the circle and started dancing. It was soooo funny!

Random videos

I have a few random videos of things that Easton's been up to. The first one, I let him eat some of his food with a spoon, having complete faith in Nala cleaning the floor when all goes wrong. The next one, we're at the Columbus Day Pet Parade. It had been months and months since we'd taken Nala anywhere in a car, so we had a good family outing. Last, we went Cosmic Bowling on base Columbus Day weekend with the Yesters. That day was Blake Yester's 6th birthday and we pushed Easton's nap to about 3 and we had to wake him up to go bowling at about 6. Therefore, he needed his paci to keep the attitude on the lower end of the spectrum. Once the lights went out at the bowling alley, however, he let loose and went a little crazy!

Addicted to Mac and cheese

I took this video about 15 minutes ago and I have many other videos to post that are much older, but this one had to come up immediately! Easton's obviously asleep right now as I post this blog. I tried to put him down around 11, but he wasn't very interested so I thought his fussiness was due to being hungry so I made him a quick bowl of his favorite food. He also loves peas so I made some of them too. As he ate, I worked on some things that are hard to work on when he's running around the house. I came to check on him...he let me know (and himself know) how tired he actually is!

Go play (in the rain), Easton!

It's been a long time since I've been able to blog, the computer was in the fritz . It's better now and I have lots of blogging to do! Lots have been going on so over the next few days I'll put new stuff on the blog and new pictures on facebook.
Now on to these videos: A few weeks ago we had a really crazy thunderstorm so Easton and I went to go see it on the front porch. He played going back and forth under the water for a little bit...but in the second video he went right for it!

Fast feet, fast feet!!!

Easton has this new thing where he does what I call "Fast Feet" and he looks like he's doing maniacs. It looks like that move from Flash Dance. It's so funny! It happens at the end of the video and it's not as fast as normal, but it's still pretty cute. Also, I could swear that I saw him run today. I wasn't really noticing but once it processed in my mind, I'm pretty sure that's what he did.

Airplane madness and fun at the spray park

Easton is into airplanes so it's a good thing that they fly 500 feet over our house all day! One night before his bath (he needed one really bad) and bed, we went out to look for planes. Who needs to pay for enterainment when you have this? FYI: He fell on his forehead last week so the scratches on his forehead are from that.

Today, we went to the Dewayne Hayes Park spray park with some friends and enjoyed the day. Easton didn't want to go under the water, but he sure did have fun being around it!

Oh, yeah....Easton's walking

Easton has been walking more than crawling for about a week now, but I keep on forgetting to get a video and posting it! He started walking a little bit after he turned 11 months, but it wasn't very impressive. A few steps here, a few steps there....no biggies. Well, now he knows what's up. My friend Sarah calls him the "unconfident walker" because he'll walk across the room and for no reason, stop and start crawling. I don't think he believes he can walk! He's so funny.

Easton's One Year old now!

Easton turned one year old exactly a week ago! On Saturday, we had a great party. Easton ate a cake...pretty much all of it! We didn't think he had it in him, but we were wrong. These two videos have Easton eating the cake- the first one he's very conservative and in the second, he's going all out!
We also got some one-year pictures taken of Easton and you can check out some of them at www.talleyimages.blogspot.com. They were great and Addie did a wonderful job- even in the 90 degree heat!
We also have some new pictures on facebook. Here's the link: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=132009&id=547545638&l=120e9149e5

Pulling his load...or shall I say pushing

Ok, everyone. We know it's been a while since we blogged and we're sorry! It's hard being gone from Mississippi for so long- it takes a while to get back into normal life!
Here's a clip of Easton helping us check out of the hotel in St Louis. What a big helper!

Here are also some pictures of us at the Jesse James house in St. Joseph MO.

Easton and I in the Jesse James house- the house he and his family lived in and also the one he was shot in.

A Victorian outhouse- authentic!

It was a dreary day , but we still enjoyed ourselves!

Above the gun but below that picture is the supposed bullet hole. Before it was on display to the public, people had taken chunks of the hole and this is it today.

Easton and Emily make sweet, sweet music together

Today, Meredith went to go get her hair done, so the babies had a play date. In the Branco house, the piano is one of the main attractions for Easton and I thought Emily would like it just as much. I was right! I was cleaning in the kitchen and they were laughing and with each other while they banged the piano. I recorded the tail end as they were winding down---but they were still being super cute.

Here' Easton playing a solo. He knows how to turn on "beats," so he looks like a DJ. He also has some interesting ways of playing the piano. (Hint: It involves teeth!)

The Columbus Pilgrimage

We're only through week one of pilgrimage, but we're having such a great time so far! Sherilyn has already hosted at 4 houses, I've hosted twice, and Eastie has done none. I don't think he's picking up the slack like he should! Anyway, we took some pictures and video from this past week. More will come for sure!

Pots and pans...already

I took pictures to show either how mobile Easton is or that I let him get into everything (and take pictures of him while I let him), but I let him get into the pots and pans. When he saw I had the doors open, he was sucked in like a moth to a flame! Here are some pics I took--keep in mind I didn't help him get into that thing, so everything he's doing he did it himself.

Easton's First Week of Crawling

Easton learned how to crawl on March 1 and for the past week, he has discovered a whole new world! I spent the week documenting what he's been up to.

Why does he gravitate towards the breakable things?

Wassaaaaaaappppp!

I eat crunchy foods now that I have 8 teeth!

Dad gets to fly at work, so I get to fly when he gets home from work.

To think that just 5 days after the big snow here we had a "picnic" in front of our house.

I say if grass is good enough for goats, it's good enough for Eastie!

We were raking the backyard on Sunday and Easton took a nap outside- and was asleep for an hour and a half! He smiled when he woke up and saw that he was still outside.

Easton's first snow- in Mississippi. (That's right...I said Mississippi!)

Last night we caught word that we were going be recieving snow. Knid of nudging the whole idea, we went to bed not even imagining what we would see out of the window this morning. Snow- and decent looking snow too! Not slush, not frost,-- real actual snow! After getting all bundled up (I had already put away his winter coat, so that took some digging), we went outside and Easton had his first snow experience. I even took some pics for my photography class and I think they turned out pretty nice.

This is our next door neighbor's car- which is covered with snow!

Easton and Nala

Nala's such a good girl. She lets Easton tug, push and pull her...and all the while she's looking at us saying, "Please- is this almost over?" But you can see that she loves him too.

The Hair Cut

Last week, I got my hair cut! I needed a big change and I always had my hair back anyway, so I just went for it. I went to www.marykay.com and did a free virtual makeover by downloading a picture. For free, I tried on 10 pages of hair styles and lots of hair colors. This look I loved immediately and I went with it : )

Eastie and the "fart" book

Tonight was the first night we read the book "Farting Fred and the Dog Show" and he absolutely loved it! He laughed the whole time. It really surprised us- we didn't think he'd like it so much. Just watch...and try not to laugh louder than Easton!

Floor Time and Fun with Dad!

Here are a few videos from today. Easton was enjoying some time on the floor and he kept on getting up on his knees. I had to record it- it's so exciting to see that he's going to be moving around soon.
Also, before bed tonight he played his favorite game- "Bang Eastie's head on the ceiling fan." He absolutely loves it! I don't know if the teeth have anything to do with it, but he's been making a wacky face lately when he smiles and it's sooooo cute.

Some more video

Here's a cute video of Easton playing the piano with his dad. As you can tell, he's a natural!

This next one is of him helping me with housework..what a sweet boy! : )
He's entered a new and exciting milestone: getting on all fours! He's doing a great job trying to crawl...considering his massive size at 26.4 lbs at 6 1/2 months (well above the 100th percentile). It's said that it often takes bigger babies much longer than normal sized babies to sit, crawl and stand because of the extra weight. Anyway, we'll keep you all posted on his whereabouts- literally!

And here's a couple of pictures...for fun!

Some random videos just to catch up

Hey, I've been so behind on keeping recent with the pictures! Here are a few random videos. Here's one with Easton and his new toy from Aunt Vikki. Here's also one of him playing on the floor and petting the carpet. That's a new one--uh, does anyone know when babies are supposed to start petting the carpet? LOL : )
